Revivre vs ShootProof: which fits your studio?

ShootProof is built for photographers who deliver a great many photographs and need the business admin to survive it. If you shoot schools, sports, dance or large events, it is a serious tool and the per-photo pricing is the right shape for that work.

Revivre is built for weddings, and that shows in almost every decision.

Per photo or per gigabyte

This is the first thing to settle, because it decides more than any feature.

ShootProof counts photographs. Revivre counts gigabytes.

A wedding is a moderate number of large files. Seven hundred finals at 8MB is about 5.5GB. On a storage plan that is nothing; our €19 tier holds roughly forty of those weddings. On a photo-count plan, 700 photos eats half of a 1,500 photo plan with one wedding.

Volume work is the mirror image. Ten thousand small frames from a sports day is a lot of photographs and not many gigabytes, and there the per-photo model is the one that hurts and ours is the one that does not.

So: weddings favour storage pricing, volume favours photo pricing. Take last year's actual delivery numbers before you read another line.

The archive fee

ShootProof charges from about $2.99 a month to keep photos beyond your plan's count, on anything but the unlimited tier. It is disclosed and it is easy to underestimate, because galleries only accumulate.

Our equivalent works differently and it is worth being precise about it. If you pass your storage limit, new uploads pause and nothing already published goes offline. You are never in a position where a couple's gallery disappears because you shot a busy August.

Where ShootProof is genuinely better

It sells things. A real print store with fulfilment. We have none.

It runs your admin. Invoicing and contract signing from the 5,000 photo plan up. We do not do contracts, invoices or payments at all.

If you want one tool for delivery, sales and paperwork, that is ShootProof and it is not close.

Where we are better

The thing the couple actually receives.

ShootProof hands over a proofing gallery. It is competent and it is built for selection and ordering, which is what it is for. Revivre hands over the day: the morning, the ceremony, the speeches, the last dance, in order, with your video clips in the same scroll as the stills.

That matters because of who else sees it. A proofing gallery is opened by the couple. A story gets forwarded to the family who could not fly in, and every one of them lands on something with your name at the top. For a wedding photographer whose next booking comes from a guest at the last wedding, that is the whole marketing budget.

We also spent heavily on delivery speed: every photo is re-encoded into AVIF and WebP across a range of widths, so a phone at a reception downloads the size it is showing rather than a full-resolution JPEG.

Both have free plans. Ours holds a whole wedding; theirs holds 100 photos, which is enough to judge the interface but not the experience. Upload a real wedding somewhere before you decide.
