Sort photos into scenes
Turn a folder of a thousand frames into named parts of the day.
A scene is a part of the wedding day: getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, the party. The couple scrolls through them in order, so sorting is most of the work of building a gallery.
Upload the wedding first
Send the whole set to the project before you start arranging. Photos land in that wedding's Unsorted pile, and nothing is capped on any plan.
If you are moving a thousand frames, use the desktop app. A browser tab holds every file in memory and cannot pick up where it left off.
Let capture time do the first pass
In the gallery editor, press Organize into scenes. Revivre reads the capture time on each photo and splits the day where there are natural gaps, then names each group by the time of day it happened.
It gets you a rough shape in one press. Rename the scenes to what actually happened, reorder them by dragging, and move the frames that landed in the wrong place.
Or sort by hand
- Choose on a scene opens the photos in this wedding that are not in a scene yet. Tick as many as you want and add them in one go.
- Upload on a scene sends new files straight into it.
- Drag a photo from the sorting bar onto a scene, or from a scene back down to the bar to take it out.
- Move to on a photo sends it to a different scene.
The bar along the bottom of the panel always says how many photos are still waiting, and it is a drop target.
Take a photo out without deleting it
Hide it. A hidden photo stays in the scene and in your library, but the couple never sees it. Use it for the frame you are not sure about rather than deleting something you cannot get back.
Rename a scene
Double click its title in the panel. A single click selects the scene and opens its settings.
